Flakey Friday 4: There's a storm... really

I wonder if the meteorologist understand the power they have with their forecast. A storm front came in from somewhere or other and is going to dump a foot of snow on us.

Here is what is interesting. People made the decision to stay home before the snow actually started. I left this morning and the roads were dry. Not a snowflake in sight. There was no traffic either, see they do this weird thing here; they cancel the school buses but not the school. So parents stay home. Then the SINKs and DINKs decide that they aren't going to work either and basically the entire city grinds to a halt. All this happens -- before a flake of snow is even on the ground.

Here is the question, and it's not outside the realm of possibility, what if the weather psychics were wrong. What if nothing fell from the sky. Isn't this just a bit daft?

Off on a tangent:I have had Dead Letters and the Infinite Yes by Wintersleep on continuous repeat on the iPod since I heard on the R3-30 podcast earlier this week. I think I may have fallen in love with the way the singer delivers the line "Infinite Yesss...". Makes me dizzy in its brilliance.
